Recent Projects

In 2010 the Choir performed recently in Intersection, an outdoor theatre production stages on street corners around Taylor Square in the centre of the city. The production was created by Milkcrate Theatre with the Choir providing musical accompaniment. They have performed in two Intersection productions with Milkcrate Theatre members.
In 2009, the Choir decided to create their own theatrical play, producing Home is where the heART is at Belvoir Street Theatre.  The play deeply affected theatre audiences and the media with powerful and uplifting narrative based on the choir members' personal stories of facing fears, mental illness, addictions, and abuse with strength and hope.
It was an emotional and original first theatrical work by the Choir, with alternating narrations at each performance by Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo), Jonathon Welch (Choir of Hard Knocks, Sydney Street Choir), and Rachel Kohn (ABC Radio The Spirit of Things).
